Broken Bow high school senior Madison Jackson officially signed her letter of intent Thursday to play golf at the college level for Nebraska Wesleyan in Lincoln. Jackson is a two time state medalist in girls golf. Jackson placed 7th as a junior at the Class C state tournament which was held at Lake Maloney Golf Club in North Platte in 2019. She then placed 11th this past season at the Class C tournament played at the Elks Country Club in Columbus and helped Broken Bow claim their first state team championship in girls golf. Jackson talked about the process of how she ultimately ended up as a future member of the Nebraska Wesleyan girls golf program.
Broken Bow girls golf coach Kelly Cooksley spoke highly of Jackson’s leadership as a senior on this years championship team and said that her impact will be felt in years to come as well.
