The Broken Bow American Legion Juniors and Seniors baseball teams hosted Overton for a doubleheader Wednesday night at Paul Brown Field.
The Bow Juniors improved to 2-0 winning a slugfest 19-13. Broken Bow pounded out 13 hits in the five inning affair and scored in every inning with the biggest outputs coming in the 2nd and 4th innings when they scored 5 and 6 runs respectively.
The Bow Seniors picked up their first win of the season in walk off fashion. Broken Bow led 7-4 going to the 7th inning but saw Overton score 3 runs in the top of the 7th to tie the game and force extra innings. In the bottom of the 9th inning, Broken Bow’s Blake Denson hit a sacrifice fly to drive in the winning run. Denson finished the night with 2 RBI and went 2-4 on the night with two doubles.
The Bow Legion teams will host Ogallala for a Juniors / Seniors doubleheader Friday at Paul Brown Field. Game times are scheduled for 5:30 and 8pm.
