Broken Bow Legion Juniors Win and Seniors Tie Lexington in Legion Baseball Doubleheader

The Broken Bow American Legion juniors and seniors baseball teams traveled to Lexington Friday night for a doubleheader.  The Broken Bow juniors kept their perfect season alive on Friday as they defeated Lexington on the road 11-5.  Bow erupted for 7 runs in their first at bat and never looked back.  Eli Coble, Max Denson, Brice Chaplin, Austin Harvey, and Hagan Campbell all had multi-hit games.  Chaplin hit a home run and drove in three runs while Eli Coble and Hagan Campbell each drove in 2.  The Bow juniors improve to 15-0 on the season.

The seniors game went extra innings.  Broken Bow trailed 2-1 going into the seventh but Eli Coble singled in Carter Johnson in the top of the seventh to tie the game.  The game would go to the tenth but unfortunately was not able to finish due to a motor vehicle accident that occurred near the ball field which forced officials to call the game.  Therefore, the game goes into the books as a 2-2 tie.

The Bow juniors and seniors will travel to Holdrege for a doubleheader on Sunday.
