Broken Bow Legion Teams Fall to St. Paul

The Broken Bow American Legion Juniors and Seniors baseball teams hosted St. Paul for a doubleheader Sunday at Paul Brown Field.

The Bow Seniors went back and forth with their opponent before falling 10-9. The game was tied at 6 after five innings. St. Paul would take the lead with two runs in the top of the sixth only to see Bow reclaim the lead with 3 runs in the bottom half of the inning. In the seventh, St. Paul would take the lead back with 2 runs and hold Bow scoreless in the bottom of the inning to secure the win. Broken Bow had eleven hits in the game led by Coy Johnson and Sam Peterson who each went 3 for 4 to help lead the offensive attack. The Bow Seniors are now 6-9 on the season.

In the Juniors game, it was all St. Paul. St. Paul scored six runs in the second inning and six more in the 7th en route to a 16-4 win. The Bow Juniors finished with 4 runs on 6 hits. Tyler Thomas had a multiple hit performance for the Bow Juniors finishing 2 for 4. With the loss, the Bow Juniors fall to 8-9 on the season.
