Broken Bow Legion Baseball Teams Split Doubleheader with PWG

The Broken Bow American Legion juniors baseball team improved to 2-0 on Sunday with an 11-2 win on the road at PWG (Palmer/Wolbach/Greeley). Bow jumped out to a 5-0 lead after two innings. PWG scored 2 in the bottom of the third to get to within 3 but Broken Bow would respond with 3 runs in the fourth and 3 more in the sixth to secure the win. Carter Johnson led the offense going 3 for 5 scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. Caden Holm pitched two innings of no hit baseball striking out 6 and Hagen Campbell pitched 4 innings giving up 2 runs on just 3 hits and striking out 6.

The Broken Bow American Legion seniors team fell to the PWG seniors 5-2 on Sunday. The game was tied 2-2 after three innings. PWG would take the lead with a run in the fourth then score two more insurance runs in the sixth inning to secure the win. Bow scored their two runs on four hits led by Keifer Anderson who was 2 for 3 with one run batted in. Blake Denson went the distance on the mound for the Bow seniors surrendering 5 runs, 3 earned, on 5 hits and striking out 7. The Bow seniors are now 1-1 on the season.
