Broken Bow hosted Ogallala for a legion baseball juniors and seniors doubleheader on Thursday. The Broken Bow juniors won their ninth in a row with a dominant 13-1 win. Broken Bow took control early scoring 8 runs in their first at bat. Owen Hartman pitched a complete game for the win giving up one run on three hits and striking out seven. Hartman also had a big game at the plate going 3 for 3 with 2 runs scored. Eli Coble was also 3 for 3 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI. Coy Wardyn also finished 3 for 3 with 2 runs scored and 3 runs batted in. The Bow juniors are now 17-4 on the season.
The Bow seniors fell to the Mid Nebraska League West Division leader Ogallala in five innings 12-3. Ogallala took control of the game in the fourth inning when they scored eight runs. Ogallala pitching held Broken Bow to 3 runs and only one hit. The one hit was an RBI double by Carter Johnson. The Bow seniors are now 14-10 on the seaon.
Broken Bow will travel to Hershey on Saturday for a juniors and seniors doubleheader against Hershland.
