Broken Bow Legion Baseball Teams Split Doubleheader with Ogallala

The Broken Bow American Legion baseball teams traveled west to take on Ogallala Sunday.

The Bow seniors suffered their first loss of the season.  The game was tied at 4 going to the bottom of the fifth inning but Ogallala would score 4 runs in the fifth and 4 more in the 6th to pull away for a 12-4 win.  Broken Bow managed just 5 hits during the game while Ogallala pounded out 11.  The Bow seniors are now 2-1 on the season after defeating  Holdrege 12-2 on Friday and winning over Alma 13-6 on Saturday.

The Bow juniors picked up their third win in three games by holding off Ogallala 10-4 Sunday.  Bow jumped out early scoring 5 runs in the first to take control.  Caden Holm picked up the win pitching 6 solid innings giving up 3 runs on 3 hits and striking out four.  Sawyer Bumgarner led the way offensively going 2 for 3 with 3 RBI.

Next up for the teams is a doubleheader at home against Overton on Thursday.  The seniors game will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM.
