Broken Bow Junior Legion Team Gets First Win ; Bow Seniors Fall to 0-2

The Broken Bow American Legion Juniors baseball team picked up its first win of the season with a thrilling come from behind win against Ogallala on Friday at Paul Brown Field. Bow trailed 8-2 going to the bottom of the 7th inning. Ogallala was one out away from victory and still holding a 6 run lead when Bow put together an amazing 2 out rally to score 6 runs and tie the game at 8 to force extra innings. In the 8th, Ogallala scored a run in the top of the inning to take the lead but Bow would answer again by scoring 2 in the bottom of the inning to win 10-9.

The Bow Seniors fell to 0-2 Friday night with an 11-1 loss in 6 innings to Ogallala. Ogallala pitcher Jordan Callihan was the story. Callihan went 5 innings giving up just one run and striking out 11. Bow had the makings of a rally in the 4th when Isaac Dodge drove in a run with a double and Sam Peterson followed with a single but both were thrown out in the inning trying to steal and Broken Bow was limited to just the one run.

Bow and Ogallala will meet again on Tuesday night for another Juniors and Seniors doubleheader. This time Ogallala will host with the Juniors game scheduled to start at 5:30 central time.
