Broken Bow Goes for Repeat Title at Today’s State Duals

The Nebraska Schools Activities Association will host the 2019 State Dual Wrestling Championships at the Buffalo County Fairgrounds in Kearney today. Broken Bow is the defending Class C dual champions and are the top seed in today’s tournament. Broken Bow will face Wilber-Clatonia in the opening round at 10:30 this morning. The winner will advance into the semifinals and wrestle the winner of Valentine and Logan View. Other Class C first round duals will feature Aquinas vs David City and Bridgeport vs Arlington. Central Nebraska’s Sports Source will follow the Indians through today’s state championships providing live play by play match coverage throughout the day on KBBN 95.3 FM and on kbbn.com

Burwell is the #3 seed in today’s Class D tournament. The Longhorns will face Winside in the opening round. Other Class D opening round matchups will feature Plainview vs Maxwell, Neligh Oakdale vs Amherst, and Elwood vs Thayer Central

Lexington is the #4 seed in today’s Class B tournament. The Minutemen will face Schuyler in the opening round. Other Class B first round matchups include Blair vs Northwest, Columbus Lakeview vs Hastings, and Central City vs Sidney
