Broken Bow Girls Golf Team Wins Holdrege Invite by One Shot Over Aurora

The Broken Bow girls golf team was crowned the champion of the Holdrege Invite Thursday at the Holdrege Country Club. Bow won the team title by one shot over Class B Aurora. Broken Bow finished with a 390 and Aurora shot a 391. Bow placed 3 golfers in the top ten. Danica Badura of Aurora shot the low round of the day with a 75. Kailey Johnson led the way for Bow with an 88 and placed 3rd overall. Madison Jackson was right behind in 4th place with an 89. Avery Campbell recorded a personal best on the day and finished 10th with a 98. Mahala Sanchez shot a 115 and Graycee Oeltjen a 120 for the Lady Indians. Coach Kelly Cooksley commented afterwards that he was extremely happy with the meet and thought it was their best showing so far. Broken Bow will travel to Ainsworth next week to compete at the SWC championship at the Ainsworth Country Club on Thursday (9/27).
