The Broken Bow girls golf team qualified for the girls state golf tournament Tuesday by finishing 2nd at the C4 district meet played at Indianhead golf course in Grand Island. Broken Bow and Cambridge were tied for 2nd with a team total 420 but Broken Bow would win in a team playoff to collect the runner-up trophy. Kearney Catholic was the team champion with a 404. Players had to battle the windy conditions throughout the day. Cozad’s Lynzi Becker was the district champion with a low round of 82. Broken Bow placed two golfers in the top ten. Madison Jackson was third overall with a 92 and Avery Campbell placed 7th with a 105. Other Broken Bow scores included : Graycee Oeltjen – 109, Joscelyn Coleman – 114, and Emery Custer – 117. Bow advances to the 2019 NSAA Class C girls state golf championships to be played Monday (10/14) and Tuesday (10/15) at Lake Maloney Golf Club in North Platte.
