The Broken Bow girls golf team started their season by claiming the championship at the Ainsworth Invite on Thursday. Broken Bow won the title with a team total 404. Valentine was second with a 430 and O’Neill was third with a 535. 7 golfers competed for the Lady Indians with all 7 finishing in the top 15. Madison Jackson led the way by claiming the individual title with a low round of 85 for the 18 hole event. Kailey Johnson was right behind in second with an 88. Graycee Oeltjen placed 7th with a 112 ; Avery Campbell was ninth with a 113 ; Hailey Myers and Mahala Sanchez tied for 10 and 11th with a 116 and Kesha DeGroff finished 15th with a 124. Coach Cooksley commented that the girls played extremely well for their first meet of the year.
