Broken Bow Falls to Gothenburg in District Tilt

The Broken Bow Indians fell to Gothenburg in a C1-7 district football matchup. The Indians were unable to overcome 6 turnovers as Gothenburg picked up its 5th win of the season with a 35-21 victory. After falling behind 7-0, Broken Bow would tie the game thanks to a defensive score as Trey Brooks recovered and returned a fumble for a touchdown. Gothenburg responded with a touchdown drive and right before the half took advantage of a Broken Bow turnover as Owen Geiken scored on a 2 yard TD run with 1 second remaining in the first half to make the halftime score 21-7. In the second half, Broken Bow scored on a 6 yard TD run by Frazier Kaelin and after Gothenburg increased their lead to 35-14 Grayson Garey returned the ensuing kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown to make the score 35-21. The Swedes recovered an onside kick and ran out the clock to preserve the win. Broken Bow is now 3-3 on the season and will host Ord next Friday.
