Broken Bow competes at GICC Invite

The Broken Bow boys golf team finished 7th in the team standings at the GICC Invite on Tuesday with a team total 335. It was a highly competitive meet as the Indians were just 4 shots away from finishing in the top three. GICC was the team champion with a 310 followed by Northwest in second with a 325. Adams Central and Aurora tied for third with a 331 followed by Kearney Catholic and Columbus Scotus with a 333. Caleb Badura of Aurora was the individual champion with a low round of 69 for the 18 hole event. Broken Bow placed 2 golfers in the top 15. The Indians were led by Jared Kahnk who tied with Brett Jelinek of Northwest for the 11th best round of the day with an 81. Griffin Wright was in a group tied for the 13th best round of the day with an 82. Josh Harvey just missed out on a top 15 finish with an 83. Spencer Gaffney and Cole Ulmer each finished with an 89 for the Indians who will now prepare for the Southwest Conference boys golf championships which will be played at the Broken Bow Country Club on Friday.
