The Broken Bow boys and girls track teams were among the participants at the Dave Gee Track and Field Meet hosted by Grand Island Northwest. Joel Myers claimed gold for the Indians in the boys pole vault by clearing 13’9″. Matt Ambler placed fifth in the boys pole vault (12’6″). Other Broken Bow medalists on the day included:
Girls – Lindsay Schauda was 6th in the 400 (1:04.55) and 3rd in the 300 meter hurdles (49.49) ; Kate Fox was 5th in the 1600 (5:43.69) ; Lexie Foster was 3rd in the 3200 (12:24.89) ; Debora Crippa was 6th in the long jump (15’5″) ; 4×100 meter relay team (Debora Crippa, Majesta Valasek, Lauren Reynolds, and Juliana Hovie) placed fifth (55.03)
Boys – Grayson Garey was 5th in the 400 (54.71) and 3rd in the long jump (19’5.75″) ; Reilee Leverington was 6th in the 800 (2:09.35) ; Kevin Linn was 5th in the 300 hurdles (43) ; Riley Peterson was 5th in the discus (131’10”)
