Broken Bow Boys Win Team Title at Cozad Track Invite – Bow Girls Finish Third

Broken Bow was among the teams that competed at the Cozad Track and Field Invitational on Thursday.  Broken Bow claimed the boys team title with 134.5 points.  The Broken Bow girls finished third behind team champion Gothenburg and runner-up Kearney Catholic.

Among the Broken Bow highlights, Zane Eggleston won the boys 110 meter hurdles in a winning time of 16.12 seconds.  Bow went one and two in the 1600 with Daine Wardyn winning the event in a time of 4:39.71 and Noah Osmond was second.  Sawyer Bumgarner won the boys shot put with an effort of 50’6.25″ and Max Denson was third in the event.  Qwentin Coble was 2nd in the long jump (19’4.75″).  Eli Coble tied for third in the high jump clearing 5’7″.  Tyson Neely was runner up in the boys 400 in a time of 53.27 seconds.  Jesus Flores won the 200 meters in a time of 23.73 and was third in the boys 100 (11.93).  Coy Wardyn was third in the pole vault clearing 13’3″.

On the girls side, Kya Scott was champion of the shot put with a winning effort of 35’3.75″ and finished 2nd in the high jump clearing 4’11”.   The Bow girls took the top three spots in the 800 with Brianna Quinn winning the event in a time of 2:31.98.  MaKinley Tobey was second and Gaby Staples was third.  Janae Martin was runner up in the girls discus with an effort of 109’6″.  Macey Haines was third in the 300 meter hurdles

In the relays, Broken Bow won the boys 4×800 meter relay.  The team of Kylen Borders, Tallen Harrold, Braxton Johnson, and William Moninger posted a winning time of 9:45.09. Bow also won the boys 4×400.  The team of Tyson Neely, Jesus Flores, Bryan Kruger, and Cruz Safranek posted a winning time of 3:41.26.  Bow was runner up in the boys 4×100.  Broken Bow won the girls 4×400 meter relay.  The team of Maren Chapin, Kailyn Scott, Anna Lindstrom, and Brianna Quinn posted a winning time of 4:08.59.
