Broken Bow Boys Win Team Title at Cozad Invite

The Broken Bow boys track team claimed the team title at the Cozad Invitational on Friday.  Bow scored 119 points to win the meet with Ogallala coming in 2nd with 110 points.  The Bow boys were led again by Qwentin Coble as he claimed two golds on the day winning the long jump with an effort of 20′ 8.25 inches and the 200 in a time of 23.14.  Broken Bow went one and two in the 3200 with Daine Wardyn winning in a time of 10:43.19 and Trey Hurlburt was 2nd (11:13.57).  Zane Eggleston had another strong showing for Broken Bow in the hurdles placing second in the 300 meter hurdles (42.65) and third in the 110 meter high hurdles (16.8).  Other top three finishes for Broken Bow included Jorge Flores 2nd in the 400 (55.67), Noah Osmond third in the 1600 (4:53.53), Sawyer Bumgarner third in the shot put (43′ 11.75″), and Brody Ridder 2nd in the pole vault (12′ 3″).

On the girls side, Kailyn Scott was runner-up in the 400 in a time of 1:02.44 and Joscelyn Coleman was runner-up in the pole vault clearing 8′ 9″.  Broken Bow placed two in the top three of the girls shot put with Kya Scott finishing 2nd (33′ 8″) and Macy Doggett was third (31′ 11.25″).
