Broken Bow Boys Win Ravenna Cross Country Invite

It was a big day for the Broken Bow cross country team Thursday as Bow claimed the boys team championship and placed 6 runners in the top 14 of the meet. Broken Bow’s Daine Wardyn was the boys individual champion setting a new course record time of 17:43.5. Noah Osmond placed 4th (18:22), Trey Hurlburt was 7th (18:51.1), Casey Faulkenberry placed 11th (19:19.9), Brock Oeltjen was 12th (19:22.2) and Ethan Wenquist placed 14th (19:26.8). Ty Greenland of Arcadia/Loup City had a top 20 finish placing 16th (19:33.2) and Logan Recoy of South Loup was 17th (19:36.2).

The Broken Bow girls finished third overall placing 3 runners in the top 20. The team champion was North Platte St. Pat’s followed by Ravenna in second. The girls individual champion was Kacey Dethlefs of Ravenna in a winning time of 20:54. Broken Bow had 3 runners place in the top 20. Makinley Tobey was the top Broken Bow finisher placing 6th (22:17.8), Anna Lindstrom was 17th (24:24.4), and Chelsea Royle placed 19th (24:37). South Loup’s Landyn Cole finished in the top 10 placing 7th (22:46.1) and Jessie Heyen of Arcadia/Loup City was a top 20 finisher placing 18th.
