It was a big day for the Broken Bow cross country team this past Thursday as Broken Bow claimed the boys team championship by edging Sidney who finished 2nd. Daine Wardyn of Broken Bow was the boys individual champion with a winning time of 16:54. Three seconds is all that separated the top four runners. Broken Bow would end up placing four runners in the top 15. Jesse Gallian placed 6th, Noah Osmond was 7th, and Trey Hurlburt was 12th.
The girls team title went to Sidney. Broken Bow finished fifth in the girls team standings. The girls individual champion was Lindee Henning of Ogallala in a time of 19:14. Broken Bow was led by Makinley Tobey who placed 9th overall. Two others finished in the top 25 for Broken Bow. Gracie Hackel was 18th and Cassidy Schweitzer placed 24th.
