Broken Bow Boys Win Gothenburg CC Invite – Bow Girls Place Third

The Broken Bow boys cross country team claimed the team title at the Gothenburg cross country invite on Thursday. Minden was 2nd and Gothenburg 3rd. Damin Luedke of Paxton won the boys individual title in a time of 17:11. Daine Wardyn of Broken Bow was runner-up in time of 17:23. Broken Bow would have four total place in the top ten. Noah Osmond edged teammate Jesse Gallian at the line to place 6th in a time of 17:50.7.  Gallian was 7th in a time of 17:50.8. Trey Hurlburt was 9th overall in a time of 18:02.

The Broken Bow girls placed 3rd in the team standings behind champion North Platte and runner-up Minden. The girls individual champion was Samantha Rodewald of McCook in a winning time of 19:58. Broken Bow was led by Makinley Tobey who was 5th in a time of 21:08. Gracie Hackel and Cassidy Schweitzer each finished in the top 15. Hackel was ninth in a time of 21:58 and Schweitzer was 14th with a time of 22:14.

Broken Bow will compete at the Southwest Conference meet on October 7th in McCook.
