Broken Bow Boys Golf Team Places Fourth at Gothenburg Invite

The Broken Bow boys golf team competed at the Gothenburg Invitational at Wildhorse Golf Course on Tuesday.  Broken Bow placed 4th in the team standings with a team total 343 just nine shots behind host team Gothenburg who finished third with a 334.  North Platte won the team title shooting a 328 and Ogallala was second with a 333. Nathan Reynolds and Carsten Fox each shot their personal best to lead Broken Bow.  Reynolds shot an 84 and placed 10th overall.  Carsten Fox and Blake Denson each finished in the top 15 with an 85.  Fox placed 12th overall and Denson was 13th.  Austin Harvey shot an 89 and Zack Gaffney shot a 93 to round out the varsity scoring.  Gothenburg’s Jake Scherer had the low round of the tournament winning the individual title with an even par 72.  Broken Bow returns to Gothenburg on Thursday for the Southwest Conference boys golf championships which will be played at Wildhorse Golf Course.
