Broken Bow Boys Golf Team Concludes Season at B4 District Meet

The Broken Bow boys golf team saw its season come to an end at the B4 district meet at Lake Maloney golf course in North Platte on Monday. The top three teams and top ten individuals plus ties qualifed for state. Broken Bow finished 5th overall with a team total 353. North Platte was the team champion with a 308. Cozad qualified for state placing 2nd with a 338 and McCook qualified for state finishing one shot behind in third with a 339. Finn Lucas and Andrew Phillips of North Platte along with Adam Cole of Cozad tied for the low individual round of the tournament with a 76. Also qualifying for state as an individual was Jake Scherer of Gothenburg who placed 8th with a 79. It took a round of 82 to place in the top ten individually and qualify for state. Broken Bow was led by Josh Harvey who shot an 85 and Griffin Wright was one shot behind with an 86. Other Broken Bow scores on the day included Jared Kahnk – 90, Cole Ulmer – 92, and Spencer Gaffney a 97.
