Broken Bow Boys Golf Team Claims Title at Ord Invite and JV Squad Places 6th at Lex

The Broken Bow boys golf team was busy Tuesday as the varsity squad competed at the Ord Invite and the JV’s competed at the Lexington Invite. The Ord Invitational was originally scheduled for April 2nd but was postponed and moved to the 9th which caused the split squad scenario. Bow won the team title at Ord with a 335. The Indians placed four golfers in the top 15. Jared Kahnk led the way finishing 5th followed by Spencer Gaffney in 6th. Griffin Wright placed 12th and Josh Harvey came in 13th.

The Broken Bow JV’s represented the Indians at the Lexington Invite on Tuesday and delivered a strong performance. Bow placed 6th in the team standings with a 369 and were led by Sam Peterson who delivered a top ten finish placing 9th with an 83. Other Broken Bow scores included Morgan McMeen – 91, Blake Denson – 94, Austin Harvey – 101, and Brady Schaaf – 104

The Lex Invite was won by North Platte with a team best 313. Drew Phillips of North Platte took the individual title with a low round of 76. Cozad placed 2nd with a team total 331. The Haymakers placed three golfers in the top ten led by Adam Cole who was runner-up with a 77. Dillon Geiser placed 8th with an 82 and Brady Davis was 10th with an 84. Gothenburg placed 4th on the day with a 355. The Swedes were led by Sam Aden who tied for 10th with an 84.
