The Broken Bow boys cross country team took home the runner-up trophy at the Broken Bow Cross Country Invite on Saturday. Bow placed four runners in the top 20. Garret Phillips led the way with an 11th place finish in a time of 18:19.15 and Lane Russell was right behind in 12th in a time of 18:21.69. Ryan Beck placed 15th and Daine Wardyn was 18th for the Indians. The boys team title was won by Ainsworth as they were paced by Ben Arens who won the boys individual title in a winning time of 15:54.75.
Ainsworth claimed the girls team title as well. The Lady Bulldogs were led by Junior Rylee Rice who posted the winning girls time at 20:01.62. Minden placed 2nd and North Platte St. Pat’s finished 3rd. The top Broken Bow finisher on the girls’ side was McKenna Palmer who finished 23rd in a time of 23:05.33
