Broken Bow Boys and Girls Win SWC Cup for 2nd Year in a Row

Broken Bow claimed both the boys and girls Southwest Conference Cup for the 2nd year in a row. It marks the first time since the cup was established in 2010 that the same school has won BOTH the boys and girls cup in consecutive years. The Broken Bow girls won the cup with 57 points and Minden was 2nd with 51 points. Broken Bow’s top point totals came in volleyball, basketball, and girls golf where they received 10 points each. The boys cup standings were tight with Broken Bow winning the cup with 57 points, McCook was 2nd with 55, while Ogallala and Minden were tied for third with 53 points. Bow’s top point totals came in Football and Cross Country where they received the top point total of 10.

The Southwest Conference Cup was established to award schools for their accomplishments in NSAA activities. Points are determined by how schools finish within the conference in the following activities. One act, speech, quiz bowl, volleyball, basketball, football, cross country, track and field, boys golf, girls golf, and wrestling.
