On Monday, high school athletes around the state began organized practices for the upcoming fall sports season. The atmosphere entering fall camp certainly has a different feel this year amid the coronavirus pandemic but the Nebraska Schools Activities Association has continued to reiterate in the last few days their plans to see the Nebraska high school fall sports season run as scheduled. In celebration for the start of the season, the Broken Bow Athletic Booster Club will host its annual “Fall Sports Kickoff” today at Kinkaider Brewing Co. in Broken Bow. Tonight’s event is scheduled to begin at 5 pm and will feature a special meal deal of a burger / brat with macaroni and cheese, chips, and tea for just $6. Central Nebraska’s Sports source will be there broadcasting live from 5-8 pm featuring interviews with players, coaches, and administrators as we visit about the upcoming sports season. Cross Country and girls golf will be featured in the first hour followed by volleyball in the 6 o’clock hour and will conclude with football in the final hour.
