Broken Bow Athletes Begin Competition at NSAA State Track and Field Championships

The NSAA state track and field championships begin today at Burke Stadium in Omaha.  Classes A and B will be featured today and tomorrow with classes C and D scheduled to compete on Friday and Saturday.  Broken Bow athletes will be among those competing in Class B today.  Max Denson and Sawyer Bumgarner will compete in the Class B shot put which is scheduled to begin at 11:30 this morning.  Running events are scheduled to begin on the track this afternoon at 1:30.  The first running event will be the 4×800 meter relay.  Broken Bow will be in the boys 4×800 meter relay with Noah Osmond, Daine Wardyn, Tallen Harrold, and Brock Oeltjen representing the Indians.  Zane Eggleston will compete in the prelims of the boys 110 meter high hurdles and 300 meter hurdles today.  Qwentin Coble will run in the prelims of the 100 and 200 while Noah Osmond and Daine Wardyn will represent Broken Bow in today’s 3200 meter run.  Running event finals will take place on Thursday.  Kya Scott will compete tomorrow (5/19) in both the girls high jump and shot put and Qwentin Coble will be in the boys long jump tomorrow.  The Broken Bow girls 4×400 meter relay team of Kailyn Scott, Maren Chapin, Anna Lindstrom, and Brianna Quinn will compete tomorrow.
