Broken Bow and Other Area Teams Begin Volleyball Season Today

The Broken Bow volleyball team begins its 2020 season today when they travel to meet the Hershey Panthers.  Bow is coming off one of their best seasons in school history finishing 33-4 overall with a fourth place finish at the state tournament.  The Lady Indians lose some key components from last year’s team because of graduation but return some key pieces as well.  During the Broken Bow Athletic Booster Club fall sports kickoff earlier this month, coach Skylar Morris said that one the keys to last year’s success was the talent of younger players in the gym that pushed the starters everyday in practice.  Now that young talent is a year older which has coach Morris excited about the potential of this year’s team.

Tonight’s Broken Bow / Hershey varsity match is scheduled for 7 pm and will be broadcast on KCNI 1280 AM / 96.3  FM and kcni1280.com

Ansley/Litchfield begins their volleyball season tonight as they travel to Elm Creek for a triangular with Elm Creek and Amherst.  Arcadia/Loup City will play at Wood River.  SEM travels to Elwood for a triangular with Hi Line and Wilcox Hildreth and Sandhills Valley will compete at the Hayes Center triangular today.

Word has been received that the volleyball match scheduled today between Twin Loup and Stuart in Taylor has been postponed and will be moved to a later date.
