Broken Bow and Mullen have each qualified for the NSAA state wrestling dual tournament which will take place Saturday at the Buffalo County Fairgrounds in Kearney. Broken Bow is the #3 seed in the Class B tournament and will face Bennington in the opening round. The Indians have a 21-2 dual record this season with their only losses coming to Class A top rated Millard South and to Class C top rated Aquinas Catholic of David City. Bennington is 20-6 in dual competition this season. Other opening round matches in Class B will include #1 Blair vs #8 Minden, #2 Columbus Lakeview vs #7 Waverly, and #4 Hastings vs #5 Scottsbluff. Broken Bow won the Class C state duals championship in 2018 and 2019.
Mullen is the top seed in the Class D state dual tournament. Mullen is 15-2 in duals this season and will face Alma(7-1) in the opening round. Other opening round matches in Class D will include #2 Sutherland vs #7 Winside, #3 Ravenna vs #6 Thayer Central, and #4 Arapahoe vs #5 Pender.
Classes B and C will wrestle off their quarterfinal duals beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday followed by Classes A and D at 10:30. All Broken Bow and Mullen duals will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and on kbbn.com
