Broken Bow and Mullen Each Enter as #4 seed for Girls State Tournament

The NSAA has officially released the brackets for the upcoming girls state basketball tournament which begins Tuesday for classes and A & B with all other classes beginning on Wednesday. Broken Bow will be making their first appearance at the state tournament since winning the Class C1 state championship in 2003. The Lady Indians are now 23-1 on the season and will be the #4 seed in the Class C1 tournament. Broken Bow will open against North Bend Central (21-3) on Wednesday at Pinnacle Bank in Lincoln. Tip off for the game is scheduled for 4 pm. The winner will advance to the semifinals on Friday where they would play the winner of top seed GICC and Winnebago.

Mullen is the #4 seed in the Class D2 tournament. The Lady Broncos are making their third straight appearance at the state tournament after making it to the semifinals and finishing fourth last year. Mullen is 24-2 and will face 23-4 Exeter Milligan in the opening round on Wednesday. The winner will advance to the semifinals on Thursday where they would play the winner of top seed Humphrey SF and Sterling.
