Broken Bow and Gothenburg Split Doubleheader

Broken Bow traveled to Gothenburg Tuesday night for a legion baseball doubleheader. Gothenburg won the Seniors game 7-1. The story of the game was Gothenburg pitcher Brady Harrison who pitched a complete game giving up just one run on 4 hits and striking out 13 batters. Gothenburg scored 2 runs in the first inning and then 5 more in the third to take control of the game. Broken Bow’s lone run came in the fifth with when Caden Holm walked to lead off the inning and came around to score. Sam Peterson led the Bow offense going 2 for 3 with a double and a single. The Bow Seniors fall to 5-8 on the season.

The Broken Bow Juniors team collected their 8th win of the season by defeating Gothenburg 12-5. Bow scored 8 runs in the second inning then added some insurance to preserve the win. Blake Denson and Caden Holm each had 3 hits in the game as Denson scored 2 runs and Holm drove in 2. All total the Bow Juniors pounded out 14 hits in the victory to improve to 8-7 on the season.
