Broken Bow and Cozad Split Legion Baseball Doubleheader

Broken Bow hosted Cozad for a Junior and Senior Legion baseball doubleheader Wednesday night at Paul Brown Field. Cozad claimed the Seniors game with a 5-2 victory. The game was tied at 2 going to the sixth. Following a brief weather delay, Cozad scored three runs in the 6th to take the lead. Adam Cole, and Kaleb Gibbons each had a hit in the inning and Chritian Timm doubled during the rally as all three came in to score runs and help Cozad collect the victory. Blake Denson led the way for the Broken Bow offense going 2 for 4 on the night with a single, a double, and a run scored. The Bow Seniors drop to 4-7 on the season.

The Bow Juniors won their third in a row as they defeated Cozad 7-2. Broken Bow scored 5 runs in the 3rd inning to take control. Austin Harvey was 2 for 2 with 2 runs scored, Carter Johnson was 2 for 3, and Sawyer Bumgarner drove in 2 runs to lead the Bow offense. The Bow Juniors are now 7-6 on the season.
