The Broken Bow and Gothenburg American Legion Seniors baseball teams played deep into the night Tuesday as Gothenburg finally prevailed in 11 innings 6-5. It was a back and forth affair with Gothenburg scoring a run in the first to take an early 1-0 lead. Bow would answer with a run in the third and 3 more in the fourth thanks in part to a 2 rbi single by Clay Brandon. Trailing 4-2, Gothenburg scored 3 runs in the fifth to regain the lead 5-4 only to see Broken Bow tie the game with a run in the 6th. 5-5 is the way it stayed until the 11th inning. In the bottom of the 11th, Gothenburg loaded the bases and used a squeeze bunt to score Radley Shaw for the winning run.
Gothenburg won the Juniors game 7-2. The Bow Juniors are now 8-10 on the season.
