The Broken Bow American Legion Juniors and Seniors baseball teams swept a doubleheader from Cozad on Saturday at Paul Brown Field. The Bow Juniors produced another come from behind win this season. Bow trailed 3-1 going to the 6th inning but scored 3 runs in the bottom of the sixth and held on for a 4-3 win. Meanwhile, it all came together for the Bow Seniors as they jumped on Cozad early and never looked back as they cruised to a 20-9 five inning victory. The tone was set in the first inning. Cozad scored 2 runs in their first at bat to take a 2-0 lead but Bow would respond in a big way as 15 men came to bat producing 11 runs in the bottom of the first. Bow’s offense stayed strong scoring 2 more runs in the 2nd, 6 in the third, and one more in the 4th. For the Bow Seniors it is their 3rd win of the season. Next for the Bow Juniors and Seniors is a doubleheader at Gothenburg on Tuesday night. The Juniors game is scheduled for 5:30 with the Seniors game to follow at 8pm. The Seniors game will be broadcast live on KBBN 95.3 FM.
