Broken Bow American Legion Baseball Teams Split Doubleheader with Imperial

The Broken Bow American Legion juniors and seniors baseball teams traveled to Imperial for a doubleheader on Sunday.  The Bow juniors remained undefeated by winning over Imperial 10-4.  The game was tied 3-3 going to the seventh when Bow erupted for 7 runs in their final at bat to grab the lead and secure the win.  Eli Coble was perfect in the leadoff spot finishing 4 for 4 with 2 runs scored and a run batted in.  Carter Johnson and Tallin Schauda also had multi hit games for the Bow juniors and Austin Harvey led the team in RBI’s with 2.  The Bow juniors are now 12-0 on the season.

The Bow seniors fell to Imperial in a tight low scoring affair.  Bow scored a run early in the second to take the lead but that would be all the runs Broken Bow would score.  Imperial scored 2 in the 4th and that would be enough as they held on for a 2-1 win.  Blake Denson went the distance for Bow on the mound giving up 2 runs on 6 hits and striking out 12.  Austin Harvey helped lead the Bow offense collecting 2 of Broken Bow’s 4 hits on the day.  The Bow seniors are now 9-7 on the season.

Broken Bow will host Holdrege Monday night for a juniors and seniors doubleheader.  The seniors game will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com.  Game time is scheduled for 8 pm.
