Broken Bow Advances to C1-10 Sub District Final With a Thrilling 5 Set Win Over Centura

The Broken Bow Lady Indians advanced to the C1-10 sub district volleyball final night with a thrilling 3-2 win over Centura. Broken Bow jumped out to a 2-0 lead by winning set 1, 25-21 and set 2, 25-17. However, Centura battled back to win set 3 20-25, and set 4 24-26. In the fifth, Broken Bow regrouped and won 15-11. The Lady Indians were led by Majesta Valasek who had 35 kills in the match including the game winner. Broken Bow will play top seed St. Paul in Tuesday’s sub district final at Central Valley high school in Greeley. The match is scheduled for 7pm and will be broadcast live on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com

In other area sub district action :

At the C2-9 sub district in St. Paul, Burwell was a straight set winner over Palmer and Twin River edged Arcadia/Loup City 3-2 winning 15-12 in the 5th. In the sub district final, Burwell defeated Twin River 3-1.

At the C2-11 sub district in Cozad, South Loup advanced to the sub district final. The Lady Bobcats defeated Southern Valley in straight sets and will face Amherst on Tuesday for the sub district final. Amherst def. Elm Creek 3-1.

At the D1-9 sub district in Ord, SEM def. Twin Loup 3-1 but then fell to top seed Pleasanton in straight sets. Pleasanton will face Central Valley for the D1-9 title. Central Valley def. Ansley/Litchfield 3-0

At the D2-9 sub district in Maxwell, Anselmo-Merna was a straight set winner over McPherson County and will face top seed Mullen Tuesday for the sub district title.
