The brackets are set for the 2018 Nebraska high school state soccer tournaments to be played at Creighton’s Morrison Stadium.
On the boys’ side, Omaha South (18-1) earned the top seed and will open against No. 8 North Platte (11-4) at 1 p.m. Thursday. The winner of that game will play the winner of No. 4 Kearney (15-2) and No. 5 Omaha Creighton Prep (16-3) at 3 p.m. Saturday.
No. 3 Lincoln Southwest (15-1) will play No. 6 Grand Island (13-4) in the first round, while No. 2 Omaha Westside (16-1) will take on No. 7 Lincoln North Star (12-6). The Class A championship is Tuesday, May 15, at 7:30 p.m.
Gretna (14-3) earned the top seed in Class B, which will play its championship May 15 at 5 p.m. The Dragons will face No. 8 Omaha Gross (12-5). No. 4 South Sioux City (14-5), plays No. 5 Schuyler (14-2), No. 3 Omaha Skutt faces No. 6 Elkhorn (14-3) and No. 2 Elkhorn South plays No. 7 Crete (14-2).
Omaha Marian (16-2) is the top seed in the Class A girls tournament, which begins Wednesday, May 9, and will play No. 8 Millard South (12-5).
No. 2 Lincoln Southeast (15-1) will play No. 7 Millard West (10-5), No. 3 Millard North will face No. 6 North Platte (12-3) and No. 4 Omaha Westside will take on No. 5 Lincoln Southwest.
Elkhorn South holds the top spot in Class B. No. 2 Gretna (14-3), No. 3 Elkhorn (13-3), No. 4 Columbus (11-3), No. 5 Omaha Skutt (14-2), No. 6 Columbus Scotus (9-3), No. 7 Omaha Mercy (11-6) and No. 8 Omaha Roncalli (13-3) also made the field.
