Boys Subdistrict Basketball Results and Schedule

The Burwell Longhorns advanced in the D1-10 boys basketball subdistrict tournament Monday night with a 68-34 win over Twin Loup. The Longorns were led by Barak
Birch who knocked down seven 3’s in the game and led all scorers with 26 points. Tory Dockweiler led Twin Loup with a team high 13 and Daniel Folkers also finished in double figures with 10. Burwell will now play top seed Ansley/Litchfield tonight at 5 p.m. which will be followed by South Loup vs. Anselmo-Merna at 7 p.m. with the winners advancing to play for the subdistrict final on Thursday. Tonight’s games will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and on kbbn.com

Broken Bow begins play at the C1-10 subdistrict at Burwell tonight. Bow is the #3 seed and will play the #2 seed Ord at 7:30. The two met earlier in the season with Bow winning 52-41 in Ord. The winner of tonight’s game will advance to Thursday’s final against the winner of O’Neill / Valentine. Tonight’s game between Broken Bow and Ord will be broadcast on KCNI 96.3 FM and on kcni1280.com.

Arcadia/Loup City advanced in the C2-8 subdistrict at Ord Monday night with a 65-57 win over Palmer. The Rebels will advance to play the top seed Grand Island Central Catholic tonight at 6 p.m. followed by Ravenna vs. Centura with the winners advancing to the sub final on Thursday night.

Sandhills/Thedford opens play tonight at the D1-11 sub district tournament at Hershey. The Knights are the #4 seed and will play the top seed North Platte St. Pat’s at 5 p.m. followed by Maywood-Hayes Center vs. Maxwell with the winners advancing to the final on Thursday.

Medicine Valley defeated Sandhills Valley 50-30 Monday night at the D2-10 subdistrict at North Platte St. Pat’s.  Med Valley advances to play the top seed Mullen tonight followed by Brady vs. Wallace.
