Anselmo-Merna will face North Platte St. Pat’s for the D1-10 boys sub district championship in North Platte tonight. AM advanced to the final by knocking off Sandhills Valley 52-47 on Tuesday night. Dalton Duryea had 17 points and Wyat Lambertson 13 in the victory. The Coyotes will face the top seed North Platte St. Pat’s. The Irish are now 21-2 on the season after defeating South Loup Tuesday night. The two met earlier during the regular season with St. Pat’s winning 69-37 on January 4th. Tonight’s game will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com. A live video stream of tonight’s game, accompanied by the radio call, will be available on the Sandhills Express Facebook and You Tube pages.
Ansley/Litchfield and SEM face off tonight for the D1-8 sub district championship at Litchfield. The Spartans got by Pleasanton 67-63 Tuesday to advance to tonight’s final while SEM edged Elm Creek 58-56 in overtime to advance. This will be the second meeting of the season between the two. The regular season meeting was won by SEM 56-53 back on January 25th. Tonight’s game is scheduled to tip off 7 p.m.
Mullen and Hyannis will meet for the third time this year for the D2-10 sub district championship. Hyannis, 22-2 on the year, won the regular season matchup on December 9th 65-54 but Mullen won the most recent matchup in the MNAC boys championship game 43-32. The Broncos enter tonight’s game at 16-8 on the season. The game will take place in Hyannis tipping off at 6:30 mountain time.
Ainsworth will host Burwell tonight for the D1-6 sub district crown. Ainsworth is the top seed and is 17-7. Burwell is 21-3 and the #2 seed. Tip off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
