Boys Golf – Cozad Wins in Playoff with Broken Bow to Claim Bow Invite

Broken Bow hosted its annual boys golf invitational Friday at the Broken Bow Country Club. Cozad and Broken Bow tied for the team low score with a 337. The two would go to a three hole playoff to determine the winner. Cozad would win the playoff to claim the title. Cozad’s Adam Cole shot the low round of the day with a 77. Broken Bow was led by Spencer Gaffney who shot an 81 which was tied with Brady Davis of Cozad for the second best score of the day. Broken Bow’s Griffin Wright placed 4th with an 82 followed by Josh Harvey in 5th with an 83. Jace Leibhart of Anselmo-Merna placed 7th on the day with an 87.

Other Broken Bow varsity scores included : Jared Kahnk – 91 and Cole Ulmer – 93

Gothenburg finished third on the day with a team total 358. The Swedes were led by Jake Scherer who tied for the 8th best round of the day with an 88.

The Arcadia/Loup City Rebels also competed and were led by Jayden Kalinoski who shot a team low 97.
