Boys District Finals are Set

Three area teams have qualified for the boys sub state tournament and will play in a district final for the opportunity to advance to the boys state basketball tournament in Lincoln. Ansley/Litchfield qualified as a wildcard in Class D1 and is the #6 seed in the tournament. The Spartans will go up against Lourdes Central Catholic in the D1-6 district final. Lourdes Central Catholic advanced by winning the D1-1 sub district. The D1-6 district final will be played Monday, March 1st at Aurora High School with tip off scheduled for 7 pm. The game will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com. Mullen is the top seed in the Class D2 tournament. The Broncos advanced through the D2-10 sub district tournament and will face Hay Springs in the D2-1 district final. The D2-1 district final will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and on kbbn.com. Tip off is scheduled for 3 pm.

Burwell is the top seed in the Class D1 tournament. The Longhorns are the only undefeated team remaining in Class D1 at 23-0. The Longhorns will face Kenesaw in the D1-1 district final. The D1-1 final will be played at Burwell on Monday night at 7 pm.
