Bow Seniors Lose Heartbreaker to Cozad and Bow Juniors Continue Their Winning Ways

Broken Bow traveled to Cozad last night (6/19) for an American Legion Juniors and Seniors doubleheader. The Bow Juniors continued their impressive play winning 9-1 in 5 innings. The Juniors have now won 6 of their last 7 contests. The Bow Seniors were not as fortunate as Cozad came back from 4 run deficit to win 5-4 as the weather played a major part in the outcome. Bow got off to a great start as they plated 4 runs in their first at bat. Riley Peterson and Isaac Dodge each had an RBI single while Blake Denson and Sam Peterson drove in runs with a sacrifice fly. However, Bow would not be able to keep the bats hot as they managed just one hit the rest of the game. Cozad would fight back in the fifth where they scored 4 runs to take a 5-4 lead. Then the rains came and did not let up. The game was called after 5 innings and Broken Bow would not get another at bat. Next on the schedule is a Juniors and Seniors doubleheader Thursday night at Greeley.
