With the bases loaded and 1 out, Crete’s Braden Schmeckpeper hit a hot shot to the left side of the infield which appeared to drive in the winning run. However, runner interference was called which kept the game tied and created a two out bases loaded situation. The next Crete batter, Lucas Lenhoff, was then hit by a pitch which brought in the winning run and sent Crete into the next round.
Blake Denson and Eli Coble led the Broken Bow offense on the day. Denson would finish 2 for 4 with a run scored and an RBI. Coble also had a multi hit game finishing 2 for 3.
