Bow Seniors Begin Play Today at Class B State Tournament on KBBN

The Broken Bow American Legion seniors baseball team begins play today at the American Legion Class B Senior state tournament.  Broken Bow advanced to the tournament by winning the Class B6 area tournament in Minden.  Bow went through the area tournament undefeated knocking off McCook in the championship round 11-2 back on Wednesday.  The Bow seniors are making their first trip to the state tournament since 2011.  Broken Bow will open play this afternoon by facing the Area 1 tournament champion Hickman.  Today’s game is scheduled for 4 p.m.  State is a double elimination tournament.  The winner of today’s Bow / Hickman game will advance in the winner’s bracket to play the winner of today’s Omaha Roncalli / Crete matchup while the losers of the two matchups will face each other in an elimination game Sunday afternoon.  Today’s opening round begins with Columbus Lakeview facing Central City at 10 a.m. followed by Alliance vs Arlington at 1 p.m.
