Bow Juniors Advance in Mid Nebraska League Tournament

The Broken Bow American Legion Juniors baseball tournament advanced to the West Division championship game of the Mid Nebraska League tournament Saturday with a 7-5 win over Ogallala.  Bow scored 4 runs in the second inning to jump to an early lead but saw Ogallala claw back with 2 runs in the third and 3 more in the top of the 4th to take the lead 5-4.  Bow would tie the game with a run in the bottom of the 4th and then retake the lead for good with 2 runs in the fifth.  Caden Holm had a big day going 3 for 3 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI.  Carter Johnson was 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI and Keifer Anderson finished the day 3 for 4.  With the win, Bow advances to play Imperial / Chase County Sunday for the Mid Nebraska League West division title.  Imperial defeated Holdrege Saturday 5-2.  Sunday’s game is scheduled for 3:30 central time and will be broadcast live on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com.  The winner will advance to the league championship game scheduled for July 22.
