Bow Hangs On for Third Win of the Season

The Broken Bow Indians football team improved to 3-2 Friday night with a 7-0 win over Valentine. The Indians marched 80 yards down the field on the opening drive of the game and scored on a 15 yard touchdown pass from Grayson Garey to Josh Harvey to grab a 7 point lead early but that would be all the points Bow would score. The Broken Bow defense found a way to make that 7 point lead hold up. Bow came up with several stops inside the red zone to preserve the win. The biggest stop came in the 4th quarter. Valentine marched the ball from their own 19 yard line and had 1st and goal from the 4 yard line of Broken Bow. Four plays later the score was still 7-0 as the Badgers failed to convert. Bow took over inside their own 5 yard line and was able to pick up a couple of first downs to run out the clock. Next up for Broken Bow will be a showdown with rival Gothenburg next Friday night.
