Bow Falls to Ord 21-14

The Broken Bow Indians went toe to toe with top ten ranked Ord Friday night but came up a bit short as the Chanticleers held on for a 21-14 win. As they have done all year, Bow showed great fight and determination when falling behind. Ord led 14-0 on touchdown runs of 2 and 4 yds by quarterback Jesse Ulrich. In the 3rd quarter, Bow would answer with a defensive score as Lathan Duda returned a fumble for a touchdown to make the score 14-7. Ord would answer with a 64 yard touchdown drive capped off by a 1 yd. touchdown run by Jesse Ulrich to reclaim a 14 point lead with 5:28 remaining in the game. On the ensuing kickoff, Grayson Garey returned it 90 yards to bring Bow right back to within 7 at 21-14. After a defensive stop, Bow would have one last chance offensively but Ord’s defense would hold and preserve the win. Broken Bow is now 3-4 on the season and will travel to O’Neill next Friday.
