BEATRICE – It wasn’t necessarily pretty, but Beatrice opened the season with a big win.
The Orangemen hosted Columbus high on Friday and despite trailing 1-8 after the first quarter, came back to down the No. 8 Discoverers 44-40.
Beatrice hosts York on Saturday while Columbus hosts South Sioux City.
