Area teams continue to have a presence in this week’s high school football top ten rankings put out by the Omaha World Herald. Sandhills/Thedford is undefeated and ranked #7 again this week in Class D2. The Knights will host the 3-2 Ansley/Litchfield Spartans Friday evening in Thedford. The game will be broadcast live on KBBN 95.3 FM with kickoff scheduled for 7pm. Burwell and Arcadia/Loup City are both ranked in Class D1. The Longhorns are undefeated and ranked #2 behind Dundy County Stratton. ALC is getting back to full strength and have won their last three after starting the season 0-2. The two rivals will meet this Friday in Burwell with the winner getting the edge toward winning the D1-8 district title. Cozad remains #5 in Class C1 this week. The Haymakers are 4-1 and will travel to Ogallala to face the 3-1 Indians. The Kearney Catholic Stars are #8 this week in Class C1 and will host Broken Bow on Friday.
