Area High School Cowboys and Cowgirls Compete in Lexington

The Nebraska high school rodeo fall season continued this past weekend at Lexington with two performances in Dawson County.  It was another big weekend for cowboys and cowgirls in the KCNI/KBBN coverage area.  Madison Mills of Eddyville won the pole bending both days with a winning time of 20.77 on Saturday and 20.299 was her winning time on Sunday.  Emma Pearson of Broken Bow won the girls cutting on Saturday with a score of 73 and Cody Miller of Broken Bow won the boys cutting Saturday with a 73.  Cooper Bass and Zack Bradley of Brewster won the team roping Saturday in a time of 7.82 and Bass won the boys cutting Sunday with a score of 73.  Brooke McCulley of Mullen was the barrel racing champion with a time of 16.338 on Saturday and Brody McAbee of Ansley had the only qualified ride in the saddle broncs Saturday to win the event with a score of 57.  On Sunday, Sydney Fletcher of Arnold was the breakaway champion in a time of 2.37 seconds and Ally Micheel of Sargent was the winner in the goat tying with a time of 8.99
