Area Girls Basketball Teams Appear in This Week’s OWH Rankings

Area teams make an appearance in this week’s Omaha World Herald top ten girls basketball rankings. The Broken Bow Lady Indians move up to #3 in the latest Class C1 top ten poll. Bow is undefeated entering the week at 9-0. It will be a busy week for Broken Bow as they will travel to play McCook tonight (1/5) then host Holdrege on Friday before competing Saturday in the Nebraska Girls Basketball Showcase against Oakland Craig. Mullen is ranked #8 this week in Class D2. The Broncos are off to a 7-2 start and, like Broken Bow, will be very busy this week. Mullen will play 3 games in 3 days as they travel to play Wallace on Thursday, will host Brady on Friday, and then face Louisville on Saturday at the girls basketball showcase in Broken Bow. SEM is ranked #9 again this week in Class D2. The Lady Mustangs are 7-1 with their only loss coming to undefeated Elm Creek in overtime. SEM will host Hi-Line on Thursday then turn around and host Axtell on Friday.
